pretty adj. (pret•tier, pret•ti•est)

1 (especially of a woman, or a girl) attractive without being very beautiful,attractive to look at usually in a simple or delicate way.
eg.a pretty face ,a pretty little girl , You look so pretty in that dress!

2 (of places or things) attractive and pleasant to look at or to listen to without being large, beautiful or impressive,always used before a noun : large or impressive.
eg.pretty clothes ,a pretty garden , a pretty name,That song is pretty. = That's a pretty song,He made a pretty profit selling his antique car.

beautiful adj.

1 very attractive in a physical way.
eg.a beautiful young woman/child , You have the most beautiful smile/eyes, breathtakingly beautiful scenery .

2 giving pleasure to the mind or the senses,very pleasant .
eg.The film tells a beautiful story about two young lovers. a beautiful song , a beautiful dress/color/garden/house/weather.
